Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on March 26th in 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. On October 21, 2016 she dropped Pho, her first EP on the label Dreamville Records. This was when she began to gain the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby released her debut studio album on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox uploaded her music to the internet in 2012, when she dropped her five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, she released new music through the internet including Bound. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes, from Sweat It Out, on the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's reference. Then, later in the calendar, her songs was circulating around Dreamville. The announcement of her decision to sign with Dreamville Records was made on the 8th day of December. The singer appeared on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016 the debut EP of Ari Lennox was released, titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and performed as an opening act on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks featuring EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas On Icarus. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The debut single, called Whipped Cream, from the album was released on in September 5th, 2018, accompanied by a the music video. On November 9 she dropped two more singles, forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November 2013 she released her debut album No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019, for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured with Cole in The Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. It was released with the music video which debuted on February 20 2019 that surpassed three million views via YouTube within one week. In support of the track She toured with 6LACK during December 2018 on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
